How to Apply Acrylcoat Conformal Coating
- Clean the boardRemove flux, oil and dust with Elclean Liquid or ELCLEAN E-Clean.
- Pre-heatWarm the PCB to about 45–50°C in an oven or with a hot-air blower to drive off moisture.
- ApplySpray evenly from about 25 cm, or brush or dip. For volume work use our spray pump.
- Dry & cureAR grades are touch dry in about 10–15 minutes; ALQ-60, ALQ-100 and SKR-70 are oven cured at 80°C.
- InspectCheck coverage under a UV lamp on grades with a UV tracer before testing.

What is PCB conformal coating and why is it needed?
A conformal coating is a thin protective film applied over a printed circuit board assembly. This reduces field failures and extends product life.
